Vairagya = detachment from the world
Sanvega = attachment or enthusiasm towards dharma
1. For vairagya to happen, one has to know the sufferings in the world- and there is no permanent endless happiness in the world.
2. For Sanveg to happen, one has to know that there is permanent endless happiness in Moksha.
If one only knows "1", then he would have detachment but no inspiration for Moksha.
If one only knows "2", then he would want to go to moksha, but would have not much problem if he can not make it.
Therefore, for real detachment and sanvega, one has to realize both 1 and 2.
