We have multiple options to wear - jeans, pants, Pajama, Dhoti. Out of these I have found Dhoti to be most environment friendly. Below are the reasons:
- With Jeans if waist size increases/decreases we have to find another Jeans. But Dhoti it is not a problem, one can keep the same Dhoti because one can tie the knot according to the waist size.
- With Jeans/Pajama if height increases, we have to find another Jeans/Pajama. But Dhoti again the height is something which can be changed.
- Dhoti is just a piece of cloth, so manufacturing a Dhoti has least number of steps and less machines are needed. While for jeans/pajama when one sew it- more machines are needed and there is waste of cloth also.
For above reasons, one can keep the Dhoti till it is worn out and also can give to others without thinking the waist size or height of others.
Therefore, lets switch to Dhotis :)

Good Point Shrish bhai .. It can work for warm weathers but how it will work for cold
Usually people use to wear something inside dhoti .. which keeps them warm in winters. I do not remember its name.
